The seminar examined how to settle and partition the partnership of acquests and how to deal with other debts within this partition. It also covered the rules for determining the applicable matrimonial regime and those governing its dissolution. This one-day seminar for judges of the Superior Court of Québec dealt exclusively with the  partnership of acquests. It was intended for all judges, regardless of their familiarity with this facet of  family law.

Objectives

This seminar was designed to improve knowledge and develop skills related to the  partnership of acquests. After a day of intensive training, participants were able to correctly characterize  property comprising the partnership of acquests and determine its partitionable value.
