Objectives

The objective of this course was to provide an essential update, prior to Royal Assent, on new legislation of relevance to national security matters.

Summary

Led by senior judges, lawyers and academics experienced in national security proceedings, sessions provided background information on the policy impetus and implications of Bill C-59, datasets and justification regimes, review agencies, threat reduction measures, international law and privacy implications.
