20170014 - The complainant indicated that she is in disagreement with the judge’s decision to grant leave. She alleged that the judge has undermined the Court Procedures and the Judges who govern it.

The Council is not a court. Thus, it has no authority to review a judicial decision for the purpose of determining its correctness. Nor can the Council change or rescind a judgement. The appropriate recourse lies with the courts for a person who is in disagreement with a judicial decision, and not an issue of conduct. A disagreement with how a judge decided a matter is simply not evidence of misconduct, or incompetence.
