Objectives

The objectives of this seminar were to enhance participants’ practical skills in managing judicial settlement conferences, and to develop problem solving skills, such as questioning, managing power and reframing.

Summary

Led by experienced judges and legal academics, this program used a combination of interactive lectures, video scenarios and role play demonstrations. Participants were given the opportunity to explore ethical concerns, and develop key skills in the area, including questioning, managing power and reframing. The program concluded with participants working through a number of scenarios to successfully bring all these important elements together.
