This online program dealt with a wider array of issues of interest to the Court’s judges, including binding pre-trials, judicial alternative dispute resolution and the use of technology.

Objective

The objectives of this seminar were to enhance participants’ practical skills, substantive knowledge, and awareness of social context issues with a particular focus on binding pre-trials and the use of different technological platforms to hold virtual hearings.

Summary

Led by experienced judges and the Court’s IT staff, this program used a combination of short lectures, panel discussions, and demonstrations to address topical issues for the judiciary, including binding pre-trials, judicial alternative dispute resolution and the use of technology. Judges had the opportunity to discuss and pose questions to the faculty throughout
