This seminar, which served as a national forum for judges from across Canada who hear class action proceedings, examined current issues in class action law with a focus on the enduring impact of the pandemic on mass litigation.

Objective

The central theme of the program was to enhance participants’ knowledge of mass litigation claims arising in the context of post-pandemic claims and to provide a forum to discuss the co-ordination of regional, national and global class actions and how to manage and adjudicate a multiplicity of proceedings in class actions.

Summary
