The Canadian Judicial Council today issued the following statement on the retirement of Mr. Norman Sabourin

Today, we announce the retirement of the Executive Director and Senior General Counsel of the Canadian Judicial Council, Mr. Norman Sabourin, after 16 years of dedicated service with the judiciary, which included preparing for the Council’s renewal.

The Council wishes to thank Mr. Sabourin for his contribution and wishes him the very best in his next endeavours.

The Canadian Judicial Council, under the chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Canada, the Right Honourable Richard Wagner, works to promote the excellence and independence of the judiciary, while striving to improve the efficiency and consistency in the administration of justice and the quality of services in Canada's superior courts.
