Notice to the Media - Celebration for a Remarkable Judge

Ottawa, 12 April 2018– To honour the remarkable career of the Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, P.C., the longest serving Chief Justice of Canada, a special event is planned in Vancouver.

A gala will be held in her honour on Friday, April 27, 2018, in Vancouver. Join hosts and tribute speakers from Alberta and British Columbia, as they celebrate one of their own, the Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, P.C., now retired Chief Justice of Canada, former Chairperson of the Canadian Judicial Council and the National Judicial Institute.

Any local media interested in covering this event must pre-register as there is limited space. Decisions about media participation will be made on a first-come basis, allowing for local representation. Media should register by emailing info@cjc-ccm.gc.ca
