Council Develops a Set of Guidelines to Assist Courts as They Consider Moving to the Cloud
Council has prepared a set of guidelines to assist judges across Canada as they consider moving their judicial information to the cloud. In moving to the cloud, there are certain measures that the courts should undertake. Council recommends conducting a threat risk analysis. This will build the foundation for classifying information with appropriate levels of required protection. Council’s guidelines highlight the importance of defining what constitutes as judicial information as well as defining the appropriate users who have access to said information. Council recommends that all courts adopt a standardized definition of judicial information and judicial users.
