Many resources, such as guides, ethical principles and a directory of best practices are available to help us build strong and lasting relationships between judges, the justice system and you. In this section you will be able to: understand Canada's judicial system, file a complaint form, consult recent publications.

Understanding your judicial system

Despite its elaborate and sometimes complex structure, Canada's judicial system is based on strong judicial ethics and brings together dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to improve it and make it more accessible.

Filling a complaint

If you have concerns about the conduct of a federally appointed judge, you can lodge a written complaint about the judge in question. We are committed to carefully assessing each complaint, and we can assure you that the Council will consider all aspects of your complaint: your point of view, that of the judge and the interest of the public.
