Ottawa, March 17, 2025 –Since 2018, the Canadian Judicial Council (Council) has published on its website a report listing all continuing education courses and seminars offered to federally appointed judges. By making this information accessible to the public, the Council gives Canadians the opportunity to understand its many judicial training initiatives as well as the seriousness with which it takes its mission.
The Report to Canadians on Judicial Education 2024 has now been published. This report outlines all courses and seminars offered to federally appointed judges from January 1 to December 31, 2024.
A copy of the report has also been provided to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada.
All judges must uphold a high level of knowledge. Continuing education has proven to be an effective tool for maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills that reflect the values and way of life of a constantly changing society.
