Chief Justice Wagner notes with sadness the passing of the Honourable Kenneth R. MacDonald, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island

The Right Honourable Richard Wagner, Chairperson of the Canadian Judicial Council, noted with sadness the recent passing of Kenneth R MacDonald, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island and valued member of the Canadian Judicial Council.

Former Chief Justice MacDonald was a member of the Council from 1987 to 2001.  During his tenure, he sat on the Executive Committee, Judicial Conduct Committee, Judicial Education Committee and, the Administration of Justice Committee.

“Chief Justice MacDonald served the people of Prince Edward Island with great distinction”, noted Chief Justice Wagner. "On behalf of the Canadian Judicial, we extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends”.
