20080007 - A few people wrote to Council because they were upset about a Court judgment in which a judge overruled a father’s disciplinary actions over his 12-year-old daughter. The parents of the girl were not living together and the mother had primary care of the child. The father had said the girl could not participate in a certain school activity because the girl had disobeyed him. The complaints were that the judge had wrongly intervened in a parent’s right to discipline his own children.
